On the 16th of March the Caribbean Network of Leadership in Health Care SYNERGY was launched, hosted by White and Yellow Cross. After the opening by Bregje Boetekees, the introductory speech was held by Emil Lee, Minister of Public Health on Sint Maarten who stressed the importance of cooperation and networking. He suggested to seek for the niche in the world of conferences. SYNERGY thinks to have found the niche in creating not just a (half yearly) meeting/conference but a Learning Community.
The day was very successful and the 15 participants from health care institutes from Sint Maarten, Saba and Statia rated the day 8.2 on a ten point scale. The possibility for networking was rated even 8.7. The participants were motivated to come next time (8.3). The idea is to organise a second meeting on Statia, proposed date 5th of November 2018 and a third on Saba 15th of March 2019. In between the members keep in contact for bi- or trilateral projects and on this website.
